among the island nation's neighbors in Southeast Asia. B2C marketers know
that their customers are prone to making impulse purchases and typically
make buying decisions independently. They can be swayed by various factors,
including a trendy brand, quality customer service, convenience (free and fast
shipping), and social proof. Among the leading online merchants operating in
the Philippines are Lazada and Shopee, both with headquarters in Singapore.
Company information and contact details – you need to have a certain label or
information so that people will know more about your website.
Privacy Policy - Explain how you deal with consumers' personal information. It is also
nice to inform consumers that you use “cookies” and how it works.
Secure payment platform - because you will be liable if your website does not use a

Filipinos are prolific users of social media. Estimates this year show that there
are 83 million active social media users from the Philippines. Even though it
has the second largest population of the region, it had the lowest B2C E-
Commerce sales figures. Local companies JG Summit and Ayala Group are
expanding their online presence and offering to compete with the foreign
operators while ensuring that the movement to B2C E-Commerce does not
leave them behind.
Web analytic tools for tracking your visitors - This is a very valuable marketing tool to
assist you to understand how your website is being used, which allows you to increase the
effectiveness of your website and marketing. A clear and remarkable logo is a business
card for both startup shops and branded stores.
Some are attracted by free shipping, some by the major mark downs — but almost
everybody is interested in one kind of promo or another. Thus, discounts and special
deals are usually the first things that website visitors look for. The shopping cart, login
box and search box features are usually placed together at every eCommerce site. It’s

The Philippine government is pushing for the development of the local e-commerce
industry in recognition of its increasing role in the discussions and decision-making
among process-member-states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).
E-commerce has now been a catalyst for a number of economies and continues to
expand its market in the world, however there are other factors that need to get done for
us not to be lagged behind. Each member state sent three participants to the workshop
representing government authorities for the information and communications
technology, e-commerce, and research institutions.
The DTI said discussions on the said workshop have focused on three main agenda:
interconnection, interworking and government service; the innovative practice of e-
commerce; and cross-border e-commerce and cross border ecology.

inexpensively and reliably. As a technical infrastructure, it is a
global collection of networks, connected to share information using a
common set of protocols. Also, as a vast network of people and
information, the Internet is an enabler for e-commerce as it allows
businesses to showcase and sell their products and services online

access to information about these businesses and their products and
services that would lead to purchase.
