Career Guidance Program

Module 2: The Star Power Within


February 6, 2019

At the end of this module, the learners are expected to:

a. determine the knowledge and skills needed in the different professions


I. OBJECTIVES
and life choices;
b. assess the knowledge and skills needed in the preferred profession; and
c. value the importance of knowledge and skills required in the profession.

PowerPoint Presentation of the Module and video clip provided by the
RESOURCES
DepEd during the seminar
IV. PROCEDURES
 Show a video presentation about the different career paths. Remind
students that their knowledge about a certain profession is necessary to
be able to perform the job.
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Guide Questions
presenting the new lesson
 1. What does the video clip tell about?
 2. What professions/jobs were shown in the video?
 3. What does it require an individual to be able to perform the tasks for
each profession or job?
B. Establishing a purpose for the  Tell the students that there are many professions and career choices in
lesson the field, thus require necessary knowledge and skills to be suited in it.
SHOOTING STARS
 1. Form students into five groups.
C. Presenting examples/  2. The teacher provides an envelope containing paper strips of

 3. Each group will pick five strips from the envelope and paste these
under the assigned profession posted on the board.
LECTURE
 Discuss the different skills required in the different professions.

 Activity: STAR POWER


Procedure: Group yourselves into five. Give each group a tableau topic
secretly. As the group presents, the rest of the other groups will guess what
