Batu Cave
These natural limestone masses are home to Hindu shrines that house various
religious deities.
KTM train service which is considerably cheap (return ticket is around 4 Ringgit);
the KTM normally takes 35-40 minutes to reach Batu Caves. The KTM station is just
adjacent to the Caves and is located at convenient walking distance. Please note
there are frequent KTM trains (normally after every 10-15 minutes) departing for
Batu Caves (being its destination).
Although it is not really a museum it is probably the only chance that most visitors
to Kuala Lumpur will have to go inside a traditional Malay wooden house of such
quality.
If you want to go inside Rumah Penghulu you have to take a guided tour. These
tours take place at 11am and 3pm Mondays - Saturdays and there is a minimum
donation of RM10 per person.
Classes can be arranged for visitors to learn the basics then try out their own
skills and take home a piece of batik art as a memory of the trip.

There is no charge for watching the batik artists at work and no obligation to buy
