Formative and Summative Assessment

Formative and summative assessment are two types of evaluation used in education. Formative assessment is an ongoing process that gathers information on student learning through activities like observation, homework, and reflection journals to improve instruction. Summative assessment evaluates student learning at the end of a course through exams, projects, and performances to provide a grade and feedback on the entire learning process. Both types of assessment were presented by Hernández Robles Mariela and Ramírez Acuña Lezly Gpe on February 12th, 2019.
