    A CONVENTION CENTRE IS A LARGE BUILDING THAT IS DESIGNED TO HOLD A CONVENTION,
    WHERE INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS GATHER TO PROMOTE AND SHARE COMMON
    INTERESTS. CONVENTION CENTRES TYPICALLY OFFER SUFFICIENT FLOOR AREA TO
    ACCOMMODATE SEVERAL THOUSAND ATTENDEES.
    VERY LARGE VENUES, SUITABLE FOR MAJOR TRADE SHOWS, ARE SOMETIMES KNOWN
    AS EXHIBITION CENTRES. CONVENTION CENTRES TYPICALLY HAVE AT LEAST
    ONE AUDITORIUM AND MAY ALSO CONTAIN CONCERT HALLS, LECTURE HALLS, MEETING
    ROOMS, AND CONFERENCE ROOMS.
    CONVENTION CENTRE RECEIVE GUESTS FROM LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL
    MARKETS.THE VARIOUS MARKET SEGMENTS THAT VISIT THESE FACILITIES ARE DICTATED BY
    THE TYPES OF EVENTS THAT ARE HOSTED.

    WHY MADURAI?
    THE IDEA OF CONVENTION CENTRE HAS BEEN DERIVED FROM THE PRESENT SCENARIO OF
    RAPID GROWTH OF INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY, ART AND CULTURES.
    AS THERE IS NO PROPER CONVENTIONAL CENTRE IN THE CITY, THOUGH HAVING AN OPEN
    GROUND IN TAMUKKAM, IT DOESN’T PROVIDE MUCH FACILITIES.
    AS THE SITE IS LOCATED 5KM AWAY FROM AIRPORT, IT SHALL IMPROVE THE REGION’S
    ABILITY TO ATTRACT LARGE INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL CONVENTION.
