COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Corporate social responsibility introduces students to the concept of corporate social responsibility, which involves an exam ination whether organization
should expand their focus from serving stockholders to also considering the impact of the firm’s activities on diverse stockholders. Practicing corporate social
responsibility requires that a corporation meld business goals with societal expectations. To do so means addressing complex questions such as. What
obligations do businesses have to the societies in which they operate? Can the interests of corporations and their outside stakeholders be aligned, or are
they in inherent conflict? This course examines these a9nd other questions about prescribing simple solutions.

TEACHING PROCEDURES:

Active participation of students through class discussion and reaction paper will help them achieve better learning on the su bject
matter. All topics to be discussed will be given ahead of time for students to analyze and contribute ideas in classroom activities. Some topics
will be link on current issues so that better ideas will be tackled down. The syllabus will be followed religiously so that the intended learning
outcome will be achieved. All students’ contribution will be given equivalent grade percentage.

ASSESSM ENT DETAILS

The evidence guide should be clearly manifested in works of the students thus the point system to follow adhere the basic cri tical standards set
forth by program. To pass this course, one must accumulate at least 75 points through the course requirements.

GRADING CRITERIA:

On class requirement:
1. Groups are given the time to present their solution in front of their classmates for verification.
2. Every assignment must be done/completed on time.
3. Assignment submitted late will not be credited
4. Professors reserve the rights to return projects that do not meet the standards expected from a teacher education student.

On Attendance:
A student is considered absent if he does not turn up during the class and arrives after the first 15 minutes of the class.
Students who incur accumulated absences of more than 7 meetings of the total class days shall be marked “FAILED”.
Students who are not around are considered present during class period that he/she obtain the approval for being absent.

Other Concerns:
Students are advised to cooperate in every class discussion and activity. Frequent going out of the classroom durin g class and making
unnecessary noise are not allowed so as not to disturb other students.
