2. Review
Conduct a review on odd and even numbers. Provide examples and exercises for
this activity.
Give the first five multiples of the following:
a. 2 b. 5 c. 10
3. Motivation
A. Playing the boat is sinking.
Valuing: Did you participate in the game? How did you find the game?
B. Ask the pupils to enumerate the classroom rules and basic rules to be followed in
school or inside the classroom.
Ask: what are the probable causes, if they did not follow the rules. Emphasize that
rules are made to maintain peace and order and they make working on things
easier.
B. Developmental Activities
1.Presentation
Present the problem.
On a certain bakery, there were 230 monay breads to be placed on trays. The
baker wants to arrange them in either 2, 5 0r 10 rows. Would it be possible for him to
arrange the breads?
What is asked?
What are the given facts?
What operation to be used?
What is the Number Sentence or Mathematical Sentence?
What is the answer?

To solve the problem, you need to know if 2, 5, and 10 are factors of 50 or if 50 is
divisible by 2, 5 and 10.
DIVISIBILITY TEST 50
By 2: Is the ones digit 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8? Yes
By 5: Is the ones digit 0 or 5? Yes
By 10: Is the ones digit 0? Yes

The number of books in Karla’s collection is divisible by 2, 5 and 10. She has
more than 11 books and fewer than 25 books. How many books does Karla
have?
B. Using Real Objects
C. Assessment
A. Using divisibility rule, encircle the number that is not divisible by the given number
before each item.
(2)` 1. 128 276 393 492
(5) 2. 510 681 705 840
(10) 3. 970 1000 1,230 1,005
(2) 4. 2,579 3,152 4,538 5,714
(5) 5. 6,475 7,830 8,525 9,457
D. Home Activity
Remediation
Shade the number RED if it is divisible by 2, shade it BLUE if it is divisible by 5, and
shade the circle YELLOW if it is divisible by 2, 5, and 10.
E. Enrichment
1. Without actual computation, determine the divisibility of the following numbers. Put a
check (√) in the appropriate box/es.
Divisible by
2 5 10
155 √
250 √ √ √
908 √
