PERSONAL DOCUMENTS
Copy of your passport and any secondary applicants
This includes the photo page of your passport and any pages with amendments, endorsements,
visas and entry / exit stamps.
1 passports sized photo of each applicant included in the application attached to the front of

FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS
Evidence of your financial status and capacity to support all applicants during your intended
stay in Australia, such as:
Copies of your bank deposit books showing your history of savings or salary
Copies of bank statements or payslips over a period of time
Credit card statements and limits
Letter of support from Australian contact with the above evidence of financial
capability
Evidence of current employment or documents supporting business ownership
DOING SHORT-TERM, HIGHLY SPECIALISED, NON-ONGOING WORK
Letter of invitation/your employment contract showing details of the position, the duration of
the work, your role or duties and the reason you are required OR
if you are doing freelance work: a copy of your proposed itinerary and details of the Australian
organisation hosting you or helping arrange your stay
Evidence of your highly specialised skills/qualifications/knowledge/experience and evidence
that they are not reasonably available in the Australian labour market
If you are applying to travel to Australia as a domestic staff/worker, include evidence of your
employment with the employer you will be travelling with such as an employment contract or
a statutory declaration stating the nature of your relationship and your purpose of travel to
Australia.
PARTICIPATING IN A CULTUAL OR SOCIAL EVENT
Letter of invitation from the inviting organization in Australia that includes the event name, the
dates of the event, your role or duties, and the role of the inviting organization in the event
Details of any appearance fee, prize money, reimbursement of costs or other payments you
will receive (NOTE: you cannot receive a salary / wage for the activities that you will engage in)
If you are applying as an amateur sports participant or assisting an amateur participant or
team: your invitation to the event including this information

Documentary evidence of the child’s relationship to their parents:
Copy of the child’s birth certificate, showing names of the child and both parents

For children travelling without one or both parents or legal guardians, provide:
copy of each non-travelling parent’s ID card
signed written authorisation (or form 1229, refer below) by non-travelling parent(s)
advising:
a) their agreement to permit their child to travel
b) the approximate date and duration of travel
c) whether a single visit or multiple trips are permitted
d) their contact information

If a child is staying in Australia with someone other than a parent, legal guardian or relative, a
declaration of support signed by the person responsible for that child in Australia.
