Client Specification.
3.1. Hydrostatic test shall be performed when all of shell accessories installation and
inspections mentioned in specification and drawings have been completed and approved.
The attachment welding around all openings and their reinforcement on the wall of tank shall
be installed and inspected both inside and outside the tank as per design. Inside surface of
tank shall be cleaned and free from all dirt and debris, weld slag and spatter, oil, rust scale,
stone or sand, etc.
3.2. All shell openings holes such as nozzles, couplings shall be provided with covers or plugs and
blinded off.
3.3. Prior to commence of hydrostatic test, a benchmark elevation shall be established at a
fixed point. The fixed point shall be on foundation or other suitable object not susceptible
to changes in elevation.
3.4. All shell and roof nozzles shall be blinded off with the exception of those nozzles require
valves or roof venting devices. Roof venting devices shall be installed and operating prior to
beginning the test. All blinds and valves must be inspected periodically throughout the
duration of the hydrostatic test to do assure that no leakage.
3.5. All survey equipment used during the test shall be calibrated prior to the test. Use the same
equipment throughout the test is recommended.
3.6. Install safety sign warning of hazards in all potential problem location prior start of work.
4.1 The top of tank is vented to atmosphere. The tank will be filled with water to require level /
design capacity. The water will be filled into the tank through inlet nozzle.
4.2 The water & equipment for hydrostatic test will be supplies by Petrogas.
4.3 Water for hydrotest shall be meet requirement in API 650 standard, water treatment is
required when in the quality is not comply with requirement standard, PT. Petrogas
responsible for treatment of the water.
4.4 The rate at which water is introduced into tank shall be 1 foot of depth per hour but not

decreasing of foundation refer to survey brackets around bottom tank. PT. GKP shall provide
the surveyor.
