CMT605: ASSIGNMENT – INSTRUCTIONS

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (HONS) APPLIED CHEMISTRY


FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCES (Mac 2018 - July 2018)

YOUR TASK IS TO:

1. Form a group consisting 3 members.

2. Go to search engine (5 marks):


a) scopus, web of knowledge, sage, science direct, etc.

3. Find one (1) review paper/ research paper (2016’s publication onwards) in any
related journal, corresponding to ONLY ONE of the topic given below (10 marks):
a) Langmuir isotherm
b) Freundlich isotherm
c) BET isotherm

4. Every group MUST find distinct review paper/ research paper. Marks will be
deducted if there are two groups having the same article.

5. From the article, extract:


a) How the researcher apply the theory in their research (5 marks)
b) How the theory answer their problem statement (5 marks)
c) What is the substance/ compound related (organic, inorganic,
biotechnology, environment treatment, etc.) (5 marks)
d) Try to understand the mechanism of the finding (research paper)
OR theories explained (review paper) (10 marks)

6. Submission date: 4th June 2018 (during the lecture).

7. Plagiarism and late submission will cost you zero!
