INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPORT WRITING

3. Report dimension and Binding Specification
a. The dimension of the project report should be in A4 size and must
be hard bind with a plastic jacket.
b. It is suggested that the cover page should be black with golden print.
4. Paper and Typing Dimension
a. The report should be printed on one side of the milky white paper
(85 GSM- Royal executive bond Paper)
b. Whole of the report should be typed in Times new roman with
font size 12, justified in 1.5 line spacing.
c. Left Margin =1.5”, and other margins are in 1”.
d. Each Chapter should start at a fresh page with a heading of the chapter
in Times new roman with font size 35, bold and Italic.
e. All pages must be numbered consecutively as follows Lower-
case Roman numerals (i, ii, iii, iv, v, vi, etc.) are used for
preliminary page, The numerals appear at the right bottom of the
page, approximately 1/2” above the bottom.
Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc.) arc used for the body of the
thesis/project The numerals appear in the right bottom corner of the
page, approximately 1 /2” up from the bottom and 1/2"in from the
right margin.

5. Description of figure & tables: - Description of figures and table should be


provided at the bottom of the table and diagram; description should be at the
centre. Figure and table numbers should be in tune with the chapter numbers
(e.g. the first figure of chapter 1 should be numbered Fig. 1.1. and first,
figure of chapter 2 should be numbered, Fig. 2.1 and so on.)
