Week 4 Blog
This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?
THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.
THESE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN THE WEEKS YOU COMPLETED THEM. DO NOT JUST SUBMIT THIS
FORM FILLED IN FOR YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS. THERE SHOULD BE 11 WEEKLY BLOG ENTRIES (INCLUDING
EASTER).
PLANNING
What did you learn from your planning I was able to learn from planning this week that there is a lot
this week? needed to insure that I am 100% prepared and set for
filming as I could possibly encounter different problems
during that time therefore by having thorough planning
completed I am organised and not worrying as much as I
could be if I hadn’t of planned ahead.
What issues did you encounter and I didn’t encounter any issues that I know of just making sure
how did you overcome them? that I was completing work on time so I wasn’t falling behind
for filming.
How did you ensure that your In order to make sure I was completing my storyboards to a
storyboards were completed to a high high standard I had to make sure I was trying to make all my
standard? images as clear as possible and realistic as possible, I tried
to make sure that I wasn’t just drawing stickmen and used
my time efficiently to ensure that it was at a standard I was
happy with
How has your planning My planning hasn’t changed or developed I have been able
developed/changed during the to use my time well in order to make sure that the work I
planning stage? was completing was to a standard that I was happy with and
I was able to show that I was being thorough through my
work, for example making sure I included contingency plans
crew lists with photos of actors and storyboards etc
How have you ensured your I found doing my shooting scrips quite difficult as I didn’t
script/shooting script is of a high know what broll I was going to include so I had to be able to
detailed standard? come up with a round plan of what I wanted to show like
landmarks around London etc, I also had to ensure that I
was making it clear what I wanted to include within my
production for example where I wanted the actors at what
points and also the archive footage I wanted to use to bring
my production together even more successfully
How well have you managed and I had to make sure that everyone I was interested in filming
organised your cast and crew to be in was aware that I wanted to film them for starters so I sent
available when you need them? out actor confirmations, I also spoke to them to figure out
days that worked best that we could both fit around to
ensure that filming wouldn’t go wrong I also created crew
lists and consent forms to show that they have agreed to let
me film them and they can make the dates set
Are you on track for the week? If not, I am pretty on track this week I just have to finish a few
how far behind are you? things within the planning like production log and then I am
on track
What work do you need to complete Production log i can do during my free periods
outside of lessons to stay on track?
