Creating A Slideshow in PS CC

2. On the upper right of PS, change the workspace to Motion.
This will open the Timeline panel for editing video and slideshows.
5. Select all the images that you want to include in the slideshow.
Click the first, and shift+click the last.
8. Resize the images one after another, to make sure each one fills up the
canvass.
Shift+Alt+click/Shift+Option+click on a corner and drag to size. Then press
Enter/Return.
Alt ensures that the image rescales on the center of the canvas, Shift
ensures that the scaling is proportional.

Turn the image layers into a video slideshow
10. In the Timeline panel, click the Create Video Timeline button.
A timeline is created for each image.
Drag the timeline zoom left to zoom out and shrink the timelines.
11. Select all the timelines except the first (top most) timeline.
12. Drag the selected timelines and drop them on the right side of the first
timeline.
A video group is created, Video Group 1, with all the individual timelines
nested inside.
This is now practically a slideshow. If you click the Play button, all the
images will appear one after the other.
Notice that the photograph clips in the Timeline are purple, versus blue for
video. You can see the difference when you Right+click on a clip in the Timeline.
There are no speed or audio to adjust. There is only a single menu, Motion
Presets.
Making a clip shorter or longer - Just drag the beginning or end of a clip to
shorten or lengthen the duration.
15. Click the Motion menu to show the five presets available.
16. Select one of the presets, and set any settings available.
20. Click the on the left of the video group name, Video Group 1.
This opens up the keyframes that you customize.
21. Click the on the “guitar girl” clip. This is on the top middle of the graphic
clip.
This reveals a red strip with red keyframes. Red keyframes means a Motion
Preset is applied to the clip.
22. Click the first red keyframe to select it. This turns it to yellow, now it can be
changed.
23. Move the playhead to the start of the clip, right at the first keyframe.
24. Use the Move tool to move the image up so the guitar and text are clearly
seen.
26. Move the playhead to the end of the clip, on the second keyframe.
27. Again, use the Move tool and move the image downward, so the head of
the girl shows clearly.
32. In the Timeline panel, click the Create Video Timeline button.

Fade in the car image
34. Click the on the left of the car track, GP 2018, in the Timeline panel.
Slide in the text Slideshow Presentation from the left, and the
text portfolio from the right.
39. Click the on the left of the Slideshow Presentation in the Timeline panel.
43. Use the Move tool and shift+drag the Slideshow Presentation text to the
left, out of the screen.
This will create the Transform start keyframe in the Timeline panel.
The result is a slide-in effect for the Slideshow Presentation text.
44. Do the same for the partial Portfolio text, except sliding it in from the right.
46. Select slideshow done.psd position the playhead at the start of the timeline.
In the Layers panel, click in the empty space to deselect any layer, or Select
> Deselect Layers.

• Right+click on any of the layers, choose Convert to Smart Object.
This creates a smart object named Slideshow Presentation.
• Shift+click in the center of the screen and drag and drop the smart object
layer into the other open file, slideshow done.psd.
The Slideshow Presentation title track goes on top of the Video Track 1 on
slideshow done.psd.
49. Drag the title track into the main Video Track 1, before the first graphic clip.
The slideshow now has all the clips in one video track.
Add transition between the clips, and at the start and end of the
slideshow.
50. Set the transition time to 2 seconds.
52. Add a Fade With Black to the start and end of the slideshow.
54. Adjust the length of the music track to the length of the slideshow.
