- Developed MPEG-DASH based HTTP adaptive streaming client over stream player STSP,
using libcurl, libxml2 & ffmpeg open sources in C/STLinux on ST40 based STB device Liege.
- Achieved DivX PlusHD Certification involving development of AVI & MKV multimedia
container demuxers and integration of DRM, Output protection, Subtitles etc. using
‘C’/STLinux-2.6 on ST40 arch based STB device STm7108.
- Developed media player called STMediaPlayer, new releases, customer support, new
feature developments for it like development of MP4 (ISO/IEC 14496-12) demuxer, FFMPEG
porting, mechanism for recovery from FW hang for a corrupt stream, media file playback
through HTTP & RTSP & common multimedia issues like AV sync, video jerkiness/freezes.
- Complete production level support to valuelabs for in-vehicle DVD players involving
development of ATAPI FDMA (Flexible DMA, a small 8-bit core) channel driver, memory
leaks, overnight test crash resolutions and other complex system issues.
- Optimization and re-architecture of video conferencing application for customer Telefonica
on ST40 host based STm71xx devices involving study of H.236 video encoder architecture
with objective to make it stream based from a packets based design, revamp of memory
architecture etc.
- Full development & debug support to customer Margi for production of DVD players for in-
vehicle infotainment, on ST20 arch based device STm5700. Involved in developing drivers
for of ATA/ATAPI DVD drives, drivers for CPxM drivers for DVD copy & content protection,
optimizations, customizations, system level debugging etc.
- Designed complete integration of USB driver stack with the ST cine-master DVD recorder
stack to support USB1.1 on STm8000 based DVD recorders.
- Designed and developed Drivers for ATA/ATAPI specification based front end (DVD Disk
Drive) solution with STm8000 in C++ on ST proprietary RTOS called OS21.
- Designed and developed Drivers for Digital Content Protection for DVD media i.e. CSS &
CPPM for STm5700 DVD player & STm8000 DVD recorder chipsets in C++ on ST proprietary
RTOS called OS21.
- Designed and Developed software for display of CD-Graphics and CD-Text on a CDDA.
- Designed and Ported Philips User Interface for DVD navigation to the existing UI of STCM
DVD player stack.
