Q.1 Do as directed : [15]
1) She dreamt of a grand, palatial mansion.
(Frame a ‘Wh’ question for the underlined words)
2) One Evening her husband said to her, “What’s the matter? You
have been acting strange these last three days”.
(Rewrite in Indirect speech)
3) She was prettier than any other woman. (Being with ------ No other)
4) Father saw massive damage to trees as well as many huge foot
prints. (Use not only --------- but also)
5) The captain had decided to attempt to find.
(Make it interrogative)
6) The family had landed successfully on the island.
(Rewrite as past continuous tense)
7) When they had finished, they had four rooms.
(Rewrite with no sooner -------- than)
8) Make two sentences by the word ‘knot’ as noun and as verb.
9) She would weep with regret despair and misery.
(Pick up the modal auxiliary and state its use)
10) She stood lost in ecstasy as she looked at herself. (Begin looking ---)
11) She was not convinced. (Rewrite without using not)
12) Give the noun forms of : (1) familiar (2) recognize
13) I am going back. (Add a question tag)
14) He had been saving money. (Identify the tense)
15) In front of the mirror, she took a final look at herself. (use ‘and’ and
rewrite the sentence).
