Philosophy 1 Grade 11

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson 85% of the students should be able to;

A) Identify the different Theory of Knowledge,


B) Express the importance of the Theory of Knowledge,
C) Make the best machine through mind and body movement.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Theory of Knowledge

III. Lesson Proper

Method: Inductive and Deductive Method

a) Daily Routine
Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven…
Greetings: Good afternoon Class!
Classroom Management: -Class pick up a piece of paper under your chair…

House Rule: Class when you see this hand gesture, you need to
keep quiet; when I say attention, you must be sit
properly; when I say company call, you must be
listen; and when I say tiger look, you have to look
at me. Is that clear?
b) Motivation
Class I have a game and each group has two representative to play in front
of the class, that we call Sha-gi-di-Sha-popo…

Discussion
The teacher will discuss all about Theory of Knowledge and Three Theories.
c) Generalization

Three theory of knowledge such as Empiricism, Rationalism and Intuitionism.


Base on student’s ice breaker “sha-gi-di-sha-gi-di-sha-popo” they must
understand the outcome of the game, if we do not have such 3 theories,
everything is going to be complicated and everything may be turbulent and out of
order because it starts with knowledge. Students will apply three theories of
knowledge in our daily lives, like how will they express fire if it is hot or cold
without using senses in empiricism. Through the help of senses were experience
all scenarios around us.

IV. Application

Play the game of Best Human Machine


Mechanics:
1. Each group has leader and members
2. Each member have to create a position like a machine using their body movement
and sounds using their voice.
3. The first member will assist their leader to move in the center of the group with
their parts of machine.
4. Followed by the next member with his part of machine to connect to the first
member.
5. Do it upon until the last member to get a Best Machine.

Note: Who will get a higher points to the rubrics they will get a price.

V. Values Integration

Students will describe how hard to people works without the three theories in our
daily lives. It will have a great impact on people. We may become foolish and do not
understand ourselves behavior.

VI. Evaluation

Direction: Write the correct answers on your ¼ sheet of paper with capital letters.
1. This is a theory that use of senses.
2. This is a theory that use of Reason and Thoughts.
3. This is a theory that use of Feelings.
4. Differentiate the difference between sense of touch and feelings.
5. Give at least two sample of Reasoning.

VII. Assignment

Research all about Growth Moral Thinking.
