4. Features
In order to benefit from the main evolutions, do the following actions with the SCE:
- open and convert the previous configuration data base,
- make a SBUS Automatic Addressing from Ethernet network item,
- regenerated the database
Then download the new databag to the equipments (GTW, C264, OI) via the SMT.
Note 1: Please Note Limitations for CRA or new functionalities (PTR) in § 5.2.
Note 2: Please refer to "Readme" file for CRA or new functionalities Configuration Guideline.
CPU2: The capacity of Flash memory in CPU2 is 16 Mbytes, so with C264 VxWorks 6.2 (12 Mbytes), it
stays only 4 Mbytes, so perhaps only one Database can be loaded into the C264.
CPU3: The capacity of Flash memory in CPU3 is 64 Mbytes, so 2 Databases can be loaded into the C264.
The copy of persistence files from Master to Backup OI Server has been disable.
Therefore, after a switch of OI Client connected to the OI Server Backup, the user has to
acknowledge the alarms.
Note 5: In addition to the Global Alarm Acknowledgement SPS, a Local Alarm Acknowledgement SPS can be
defined on a par C264 basis, please refer to the "Readme" file for configuration.
Note 6: The Master Clock can be a C264 or a Third party device. In this case, no time accuracy can be guaranteed,
please refer to the "Readme" file for configuration.
Note 7: PACiS OI Server is compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and with Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
Note 8: IsaGraf: Use of MPS datapoints: please refer to the "Readme" file for use of such MPS datapoints.
Note 9: PACiS GTW-PC: Protocol T101: A new registry key has been added "SCADA_DEWA":
- If this key is set to 1: a Datapoint on Unknown State is transmitted with NT and IV information
- If this key is set to 0, a Datapoint on Unknown State is transmitted with only NT (Not Topical)
information
Note 10: PACiS GTW-PC: Protocol T101: A new registry key has been added "balanced mode Ack" to indicate
The T101 acknowledgement balanced mode
- If this key is set to 1: GTW always acknowledge at link level, even if waiting a SCADA
acknowledgement
- If this key is set to 0: GTW not relies to SCADA, if it's waiting acknowledgment
Note 11: GTW : For using HOPF 6039 board into a GTW-PC, registry keys have been added for CDCII, DNP3
and T101 protocol, please refer to the "readme" file to configure these keys
Note 12: PACiS GTW-PC: Protocol T101: A registry key has been added "ConcatAnalogEvent". This key indicates
if Suppression in a frame of several analog with same address is needed:
- 0 : No effect (default value),
- 1 : Suppression in a frame of several analog with same address
Note 13: PACiS GTW-PC: A registry key has been added "CheckLocalRemote" in
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/AREVA/Tg/main". This key indicates if a check must be made on
Local/Remote DPS:
- 0 : No check of the Local/Remote DPS,

5.2.1 - PACiS OI
For PACiS OI Server, it is mandatory to setup a complete installation of PACiS OI (server & client)
and SCADA 2000.
OI in Turkish:

- Some texts stay in English:
- Launch tool on Command Banner,
- Some menus, tooltips in AlarmViewer and Trendviewer
OI in Chinese:
- only on Windows 2000 SP3 Chinese,
- Some texts stay in English:
- Some menus, tooltips in AlarmViewer and Trendviewer
OI in Russian:
- only on Windows 2000 SP4 Russian,
- Some texts stay in English:
- Some menus, tooltips in AlarmViewer and Trendviewer
The command "Set Current" does not work correctly. It is better to use the switch command from
Equipment panel.
Chinese Language:
- only on Windows 2000 SP3 Chinese,
- Some texts stay in English:
- Some items on SMT HMI (Tree view)
GTW IEC/IEC:
Extern Synchrocheck automatic : in case of SBO sequence with time-out in select phase, the
negative return code (TIME-OUT) is not displayed on the PACiS OI and the user has to click
on Abort (FR 3669).
After a switch, the RedSt information of the former active GTW is not correctly refreshed (FR
4260)
Incorrect Counter input reset and freeze value in standby GTW (FR 4130).
GTW Embedded:
The Gateway on PC Embedded doesn’t support CDC Type II and OPC protocol.
PSL:
The designer of a PSL must insure that it's not possible to command an opposite control on a relay
while a control is already in progress on it same relay.
GOOSE Transmission:
Only 100 Digital Datapoints and 65 Analogue Datapoints can be transmitted by GOOSE.
The “C” button is now used for LED acknowledgement. It was formally used for the navigation in the
menu tree. This feature remains and so LED acknowledgement will not be allowed in the menu tree.
CAUTION: Even if the SCE would allow a resolution of 1 ms for the attributes "pre_tx" (time before
sending DATA) and "pos_tx" (time after sent DATA), the C264 resolution is 5 ms.
Therefore, refer to the table below to know the real value used by the C264 against the
value set in the SCE.
[81R] inhibition process, thresholds of the current df/dt are available from -10Hz to + 10 Hz, so the
thresholds of the protection relay must be between -9 Hz to + 9Hz (setting by Micom S1)
Harmonic treatment: the df/dt requires particular attention. Please contact AREVA T&D PCL /
Industrialisation Team for Database Audit
Chinese Language:
- only on Windows 2000 SP3 Chinese,
- Some texts stay in English
OI Mimic:
The background colour of a GIF bitmap must be the same as the background colour of the mimic.
The number of graphic elements must be less than 1700. Otherwise, the generation could be not
complete and the mimic can be not good displayed on PACiS OI Client.
A graphic element:
- an animated state or an action of a Multistate
- an action of a shape.
