CONSTRUCTIONS:

1. Construct a triangle of sides 4cm, 5cm and 7cm and then a triangle similar to it whose sides
are ⅚ of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.
2. Construct a triangle ABC of sides AB=4cm, ˪B=600 and AC=7cm and then a triangle similar
to it whose sides are ¾ of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.
3. Construct ˪a triangle XYZ of sides xy=5cm ∟y=450 and ˪ z=1100 and then a triangle similar

to it whose sides are of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

4. Construct a triangle of sides ABC of BC= 5cm ˪ A=700 ˪B=400 then a triangle similar to it
whose sides are of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

5. Construct a triangle of sides 4cm, 5cm and 7cm and then a triangle similar to it whose sides
are of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

6. Construct a triangle of sides 3cm, 6cm and 5cm and then a triangle similar to it whose sides
are of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

7. Construct ˪a triangle XYZ of sides xy=5cm ∟y=650 and ˪ z=700 and then a triangle similar
to it whose sides are of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

8. Construct a isosceles triangle of sides 4cm, and base of 5cm and then a triangle similar to it
whose sides are of the corresponding sides of the first triangle.

9. Draw a line segment of length 7cm and divide it in the ratio 5:3.
10. Draw a line segment of length 9cm and divide it in the ratio 3:8
11. Draw a line segment of length 8cm and divide it in the ratio 5:7.
12. Draw a line segment of length 6.9cm and divide it in the ratio 4:3
13. Draw a circle of radius 3cm. From a point 8cm away from its center, construct the pair of
tangents to the circle and measure its lengths.
14. Draw a circle of radius 3.5cm. From a point 9cmaway from its center, construct the pair of
tangents to the circle and measure its lengths.
15. Draw a circle of radius 4cm. From a point 8.5cmaway from its center, construct the pair of
tangents to the circle and measure its lengths.
16. Draw a circle of radius 5cm. From a point 10cmaway from its center, construct the pair of
tangents to the circle and measure its lengths.
17. Draw a circle of radius 4cm. Take the two points A and B on the its extended diameter and
construct the tangents at the ends of the diameter
18. Draw a pair of tangents to a circle of radius 3cm which are inclined to each other at angle of
750.
19. Draw a pair of tangents to a circle of radius 4.5cm which are inclined to each other at angle
of 600.
20. Draw a pair of tangents to a circle of radius 5cm which are inclined to each other at angle of
1100.
