What is POS?

POS stands for point of sale. A point-of-sale (POS) transaction is what takes place between a
merchant and a customer when a product or service is purchased, commonly using a point of
sale system to complete the transaction.

What Benefit does POS give?

The main advantage of a computerized POS system over a cash box or a cash register is the
sophisticated and detailed sales reports it provides. The software lets you analyze sales in
different ways, such as by SKU (item sold), time periods, promotions, by store if you have more
than one, or even by sales clerk.

Why are POS System important?

With POS systems however, they are designed to be user friendly, with a sole purpose of
making life easier and business better. They allow staff to focus their attention on the customer,
as well as the physical preparation and sale of products, cementing the most important values
of retail.

Why People would purchase POS?

Local market spends almost a week to close their monthly accounts register; through POS they
can do this activity by a single click. Computerized POS will record every single business
activity within itself and record it in reports. Those reports actually give a detailed information on
customer ledger, supplier ledger, inventory management, sales management, purchase
management, accounting reports like balance sheet, account statement, ledgers, or any other
report that client may ask us to give.
