Strengths of the lesson:
Bashir is very hard working. She always shows interest in learning new ideas. She is very punctual and well prepared for every lesson. She has grown so much in the last month. Her lesson has three components to it. The introduction, main part and plenary is evident. He lesson objectives are clear, her constant questioning is a good way of checking up to see if the learners know what they are learning. She uses open ended questions which gets learners to think before answering.
Areas for development:
She should be more firm while teaching in whole group session, by using different strategies to capture children’s attention. It is better to reward good behavior instead of acknowledging the inappropriate behaviour. Try to focus on the ones that are listening and by rewarding them the other learners will follow their examples. Managing your time during your lesson is important. Concentrate on making sure you use the correct pronunciation as Science vocabulary should extend learners positively.
