As I read through this book, it attracted me with its specific description of each character's
thoughts in their mind. The way the characters are described in the book you can really picture in
your mind who they are. It’s very important to be able to visualize them because it helps you get to
know them better as characters and have a better understanding of the book. It was not only a
book, which tells readers a story by author, but also a sight from Wang Lung as a first person
attitude. When I was reading this book, I did sometimes treat myself as Wang Lung and imagine
the surroundings in my mind, and even got stressed when the landlord was asking Wang Lung
about the rent gold when he was not able to pay. At the same time, the sentences would drag me
out of the imaginary world of Wang Lung. Furthermore, this book combines history, politics, and an
appeal to people to start thinking about them as what type of person in society.

This text was definitely engaging because of its unpredictability and fast moving plot. Also,
I felt like I learned something new about China or Chinese culture every chapter, and that was great.
I may not be able to understand their culture and tradition as quickly as possible but it really helps
a lot in enlightening every reader of this book. It is a classic book and I really like the story for it
depicts reality. The sentence structure could have been better, and if it was, the book might have
been a little more understandable in some parts. I would recommend this book to a friend because
it's engaging and just a good book for our current age group.

This book is a must-read for any individuals interested in Chinese history and culture. It
dramatically depicts the attitudes and lifestyles of the commoners who would later investigate the
Chinese Revolution. It focuses on China's difficult transition from old traditions to a new way of life.
It uses plain language and a narrative-based story structure to communicate enduring truths,
without ever compromising its mature tone. This elevates it far above other historical fiction in the
same vein.

I like the book because it taught me to respect the earth we live in a little more because
we are all responsible for the place where we live in. We cannot survive without the earth, the
environment but it can survive without us human beings. Each one of us has our own duty to do. It
has provided us many good lessons in our lives. It showed me that you can get rewards from the
earth and that the earth gives back to you the way you treat it. The book was missing spark. It
wasn't the kind of book that people would pick up and read and never be able to put it down. I also
like how the author shows how greed to wealth and other material things affect our relationship not
just to other people but to the earth as well. Overall it was a good book. I would give nine out of ten
if I were to rate it.
