Lesson Plan - First Clarinet Lesson Context:: Time Sequencing Assessment

This 15 minute lesson plan for a first clarinet lesson has the goal of making a student more comfortable with the clarinet. It outlines teaching the parts of the instrument, proper assembly, embouchure, breath support, and producing the first three notes (G, C, F). The plan breaks down the lesson into timed segments to teach instrument parts, holding position, reed placement, embouchure, fingering for notes, echoing pitches, and instrument disassembly. It assesses the student's understanding and ability to correctly perform each skill along the way. The objectives are for the student to independently assemble the clarinet and explain their embouchure while playing the first three notes by the end of the lesson.
