Japanese Language & Culture Course

First Semester [July to November, 2019]


The JF KOZA is a Japanese language course by the Japan Foundation, New Delhi (JFND). In JF KOZA, we use very
distinctive form of teaching material "MARUGOTO" which conforms to the Japanese language education method called
"JF Standard" developed by The Japan Foundation. We will open the application for new semester. Please join us!

JF Standard

Basic User Independent User Proficient User


1. Feature of JF KOZA:
(1) Main purpose of our course is to brush up the teacher’s teaching ability and not only for the students.
(2) Our course put more emphasis on brushing up verbal communication than grammatical knowledge.
(3) The students are encouraged to acquire Japanese proficiency through notice and discover activities
based on the oral materials. Therefore, teachers do not teach the meaning of every single word.
(4) This course DOES NOT conduct JLPT Preparation classes.

2. Eligibility:
(1) Applicants must be 18 years of age or above by 30 April, 2019.
(2) Those who are able to communicate in English.
(3) Those who have enrolled to the Minato Website of
Japanese Language.

*Lessons that fall on public holidays will be shifted to alternative dates.
*If you are absent for 2 or more lessons in a row without informing, you cannot continue the course.
* 70% of attendance is needed to obtain a certificate of completion of the course.
*It is a one year course for Class 10. That is, the Certificate will be issued after completion of full one year for Class 10.
4. Recruitment Level:
Class Level
Class 1 & 2 Those who start learning Japanese from the first scratch Beginner
Those who can introduce themselves and exchange greeting in simple Japanese
Class 3 & 4
but have not learned Japanese character before.
Those who can introduce themselves and exchange greeting in simple Japanese.
Class 5
The applicants must have knowledge about Hiragana & Katakana.
Class 6 Those who know about 50 Kanji, and can handle basic conversations.
Those who know about 200 Kanji and can handle simple conversation. The
Class 7
applicants must have an understanding of the basic grammar patterns.
Those who know about 250 Kanji and can handle simple conversation and has
Class 8
an understanding of the basic grammar patterns.
Those who know about 350 Kanji and can handle descriptive conversations
Class 9 about daily life activities. The applicants must have good knowledge of basic
grammar patterns.
Intermediate
Class 10 Those who know about 450 Kanji and can handle descriptive conversations. The
applicants must have better knowledge of grammar patterns.
*One applicant can apply for only one class.

5. Application Process and Fee Payment


Apply 1. Visit the following link and fill out the form.

2. Please submit the Application Form till 11th May, 2019 (Saturday) until 17:30.
*Please upload a SCANNED copy of your recent passport size photograph and of original ID proof. We
accept E-Aadhaar Card as well.
*The passport size photograph must be taken within 6 months.
*Make sure you write the correct phone number and email address in the form.
3. After receiving Application Form, an Acknowledgement Email will be sent to each candidate.
DO NOT LOSE THAT EMAIL AT ANY COST. ONCE LOST, YOUR APPLICATION IS CANCELLED ON
THE SPOT.

4. The Acknowledgement Email will contain a reference number. The candidate will use this number to

check results on the website (http://www.jfindia.org.in) and Notice Board at the JFND Reception
(Ground Floor).
5. The first screening result will be announced over the website and Notice Board on:
15th May, 2019 (Wednesday) after 16:00.

6. If your name and reference number are on the list, you will have to come to JFND for Interview and
Interview
& Test small test in the time slot given to you on the result list. The interviews will be conducted on:
20th (Monday) ~ 22nd (Wednesday) May, 2019.
*Please note that no interview will be conducted, if you fail to come or are late for the interview.

7. The interview result will be out on the website and on the notice board on:
29th (Wednesday) May, 2019 after 16:00.
Fee The candidates will have to come for the fee payment on the designated dates:
Payment 6th (Thursday) ~ 7th (Friday) June, 2019 from 10:30 to 17:00.
*The registration of those who failed to pay the fee by the designated day will be cancelled.
*No calls/queries regarding the result or application status will be entertained.
*The decision of The Japan Foundation is final.
*Fee is not refundable.

We will not accept ANY applications (no exceptions) after the closing date.
