Shooting Script - Draft 3

Home education, also known as homeschooling, is on the rise in popularity in the UK. The documentary interviews several families who have chosen to homeschool their children for various reasons such as wanting a religious or specialized education. It also interviews a professional from a Christian homeschooling curriculum to discuss the benefits and challenges of homeschooling. While homeschooling methods vary widely, it allows families flexibility in scheduling and social activities compared to traditional school. However, some question whether all children are best served through homeschooling and debate the level of regulation that should exist.

Overview:
I understand why these parents want to ▪ B-roll from interview with Nathan,
home educate their children. Sophia Sophia and Joelle (Own footage)
wanted to give her children a Christian
education and (background?). Joelle home
educates because she wants her children to
be more involved in their learning and
experience new things. Nathan and his wife
were both home educated, so they decided
to go straight into home ed because they
were to familiar with it.

They all have valid reasons to home ▪ Children at school (Archive footage)

children the chance to experience school.
