different boards. Solve these at your own to perform well in annual
exams.

1. Define function with an example.

2. Define even and odd functions.

3. Prove that cosh2 x − sinh2 x = 1.

4. Prove the identity sinh2x = 2sinhxcoshx.

5. Prove the identity cosech2 x = coth2 x − 1.

6. With the help of Vertical line test, decide whether x2 + y 2 = 1 is a function or not.

7. Express the volume V of a cube as a function of the area A of its base.

8. Find the domain and range of the function g(x) = |x − 3|.



9. Find the domain and range of x2 − 4.

10. Find the domain and range of x + 1.
