Dr Reddys Foundation is a not for profit that has its footprint all over the country under various
programs viz Livelihoods, Education, Entrepreneur Development. Dr. Reddy's Foundation
(DRF) is a non-profit partner of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. Established in 1996, DRF is a pioneer
in developing innovative programs in response to the critical, long-term livelihood and education
needs of underserved populations.

DRF is associated with Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (RVM), Andhra Pradesh and America India
Foundation (AIF) for running of Residential Bridge Course Centers and Non-Residential Bridge
Course Centers.
World Bank supports 10 day care / crèches at construction sites of Hyderabad a pilot project in
India.
Ministry of Rural Development and National Institute of Rural supporting the special project,
Grameen Labs under SGSY for providing skill development training and job placements.
Many other corporate companies / funding organizations partner with DRF.

Experience:
Education:
In the area of education DRF has been working in both area, mainstream education
(33 Pudami Schools + 1 Kallam Anji Reddy Vidyalaya) as well as alternative education for
children who cannot reach a regular school. Under alternative education programs we run Early
Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)for children in the 0-5yrs age group and Non Residential
Bridge Centres (NRBC)for children in the6-14 yrs age group.
Our initiatives under the Education vertical are supported by the SSA, World Bank, American
India Foundation as well as several infrastructure companies and corporates , predominantly
Dr Reddys Laboratories. We have also partnerd with NICE Foundation for the nutrition program
which is supported by World Bank for the 0-3yrs age. DRF individually is also a grantee of
World Bank for running crèches in 10 construction sites of Hyderabad. DRF also runs centres for
school dropouts who want to appear for the Class X exam for a 10 month period, called
YUVA Centres. We also run Residential Bridge Centres(RBC) for children who susceptible to
child labour – including the older children in the construction site centres who are most
susceptible to move into the construction work.
Livelihoods, Empowerment & SHGs:
Grameen LABS is a ‘Special Project’ under Swarnajayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana (SGSY) of
the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, aimed at skill development
of disadvantaged rural youth in the country, with a view to providing them with jobs /
placements. The project is implemented by Dr. Reddy’s Foundation (DRF), under its Livelihood
Advancement Business School (LABS) vocational training program.Under a
Tripartite MoU between MoRD, National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) and DRF,
Phase II of the project is currently under implementation across India, aimed at providing
placement-linked skill development to rural youth living Below the Poverty Line (BPL). Till date
32, 190 youth are trained in various market-driven domains in 19 states across India.
DRF has initiated special program for supporting the upliftment of street food vendors in Greater
Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Self Help Groups are formed with in the vendors so as to
create a large co-operative structure which would help them to gain profits by cutting down
middle men in purchasing raw materials.
Community Interactions:
Every Program of DRF works by mobilizing community to take part in its initiatives. DRFs
schools are known to be first of its kind to for community to join irrespective of their paying
abilities.
Staff:
A total of 1300 staff with around 800 employees in Livelihoods vertical and 500 employees in
Education vertical DRF aims in providing quality to the maximum possible extent of
beneficiaries.
Black – listing:
DRF is never black listed or accused by any funding organization or any one from other spheres.
NETWORKING capabilities:
DRF already has a good network with many government agencies at state level and
central level apart from its network with corporate world.

Financial Capacity:
DRF has all the financial abilities to run the center on its own for a quarter and delays in
payments for such time shall not result in disturbance of the program.
The financial bid which is provided separately will show the capacity of DRF in running the
program at bear minimum costs.
