Statement of the Problem

What are the ways to improve the management of the Panteon De Dasmariñas
Public Cemetery in terms of mapping the location of the tombs and providing information
about the corpse?

1. What are the problems that may encounter when visiting or inquiring in Panteon De
Dasmariñas
 Finding the grave of their deceased loved ones.
 Finding a place to entomb their deceased loved ones.
 Time Consuming
 Walk-in inquiry to availability of tomb

2. What are the problems in managing the records and documents of the deceased in
the Pacheon De Dasmariñas Public Cemetery?
 Data loses.
 Eligible to accept the deceased.
 Corrupting digital data.
 Lack of Security for data.

Objective of the Study


The objective of this study is to improve the management and the service of the
Pacheon De Dasmariñas Public Cemetery in terms of developing a mapping system to for
the location and finding the missing or unallocated tombs and providing information of the
deceased using internet by accessing Cemetery Mapping and Information System. The
system can provide security for the confidential data and prevent data loses by automated
back-up of information that gathered for Pateon De Dasmarinas Public Cemetery.

Scope and Limitations

The study focuses on Cemetery Mapping and Information System for Panteon De

Dasmarinas Public Cemetery. The Mapping System can provide specific information about

location of the tombs that they are finding or unallocated. The Information system can keep

the records of the occupant’s information like, name, lots, block, age, date of deceased and

birthday. For those who want to inquire to a lot, there is a section of the system that they

can view the unoccupied or available lot and also it has an image of example lots.

However, the said Mapping and Information System is also having its own

limitations. The Mapping System can only show the specific information that declare by the

system like, name, birthday, date of death, lot number and phase number. The Information

System not accepting any online payments. The information that in the system can only

manage by the dedicated employee.

Significance of the Study

The importance of the study can be clearly identified by outcome it provides to the

following group of individuals:

Administration of Panteon de Dasmariñas. The propose system helped the client

in terms of easy access and reference of the information through online within the cemetery.

And also to increase the service of the said cemetery.

Relatives of the deceased. This study will help them to lessen the time in searching

for missing graves.

Researchers. This study will benefit of having the learning and apply the knowledge

that had been learned in creating the system. It also provides experience and good

communication skills in interacting to the future client.

Future Researchers. This study will serve as a future reference and an aid in

developing new studies that may or may not be directly related to the topic discussed in the

study.

For the faculty and Administration of National College of Science and

Technology. The outcome of the study will provide them information about the extent of

skill of their students. The output of the study, can serve as a guide and provide more ideas.
