about subject-verb agreement and
singular verbs.

At the end of the lesson, we will know


about singular verbs and how to use
subject-verb agreement correctly.

1 . S U B J E C T- V E R B A G R E E M E N T

DEFINITION
When we write or speak, the subject and the
verb in our sentences must agree with each
other, and this is what we call agreement.
If the subject is singular, the verb must
also be singular. And when the subject is
plural, the verb must also be plural.
