Learning Objective: Student will review, reflect upon and creatively represent the eight parts of speech
in the English language.

Instructions: Complete ONE project for each of the 8 parts of speech. You will
be given time in class to work on the projects. You will have to complete some of
this work AT HOME . Mrs. Stearns will have resource materials available to you
if you need them. Each student will work through the project list at their own
pace, however all projects must be turned in and labeled by March 12th.

Be prepared to present your work. Be creative! Be neat! Have fun!

Parts of Speech Project


Create a collage of 10 nouns (5
common and 5 proper) that are
Noun meaningful to you. Label
whether the noun is common or
proper. Should be colorful.
Write a paragraph about a real
or imagined encounter with a
famous person. DO NOT

must include 10 pronouns. Use

Create an informational
brochure about verbs in which
you define and demonstrate 6
