Mid 128 Pid435

This document provides diagnostic information for a Volvo engine that is registering a fault code for relative effective torque. It describes two possible fault modes - too high torque and too low torque. For each fault mode, it lists the detection conditions, symptoms, possible causes, and recommends checking the fuel rail pressure as the action to take.

Reference 230 Fuel system, description

Fault mode diagnosis

Fault mode Detection conditions:The engine control unit (E-ECU) registers: Too high torque
FMI 0 Symptom: Possible causes:

Red central warning Defective rail pressure sensor

Buzzer sounds continuously High pressure leakage on injector
 Error message screen
Also sets MID 128 PSID 97 FMI 14
Max. speed is limited to 1100 rpm
by the engine protection function
 Low power because of engine
protection
 Rail pressure limitation
 Engine shutdown

Action 237 Fuel rail pressure, checking
