Week 12 Reflection

On Tuesday make had a much better day than last week's days. He did well

during reading buddies but ended up falling asleep towards the end of the story. He slept for

about 10 minutes then woke up ready to go for the rest of the day. Make actively participated in

freeplay and in all the centers at small group. He needed little redirection for most of the day.

one of the centers we were asked to make a zoo for all the zoo animals. The student was very

active and excelled at this. The other small center activity was a scavenger hunt. Though he did

better with making the zoo he was still very active and put forth effort. In the afternoon I had

time to help the teacher prep for the afternoon class and for future lesson. I helped make copies

laminate papers cut things out and label and organize lesson bins for her. After that I headed to

steam to help a student finish yet another steam project. She is very smart and knows exactly

what she's doing she just needs a little redirection and coaxing to get her thinking about her

project and how to execute it properly.

On Thursday make still had a pretty good day. He came in happy and ready to go for the day.

Greeting time and free play all went well with great participation from him with little direction or

redirection. Make had one meltdown throughout that day do to clean up time. I'm doing my best

to teach him how to clean up his toys after he is done playing instead of me picking up after him;

this cost him distress and sent him into a meltdown but he quickly recovered from it once

everything was picked up and we moved on to small group. He participated well and was

engaged in small group activities story Time snack time and large group.
