1.0 SCOPE & OBJECTIVE


The scope of this Method Statement covers the Installation of Louver Panels at Mediclinic Al Noor
Hospital Basement, Ground and Upper Ground floors. And this method instruction shall be considered
void for any other related work unless approval is acquired from the authority specific to the project.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES / SUPERVISION


a) Project Manager (Esper Riad Al Shammas) shall have the overall responsibility of the project for
execution, quality and safety. He shall maintain the planning progress and co-ordination of works.

b) Project/ Site Engineer (Esper Riad Al Shammas)shall be responsible for monitoring of the day-to-
day activities on site, for materials, drawings, testing & commissioning and allocation of resources to
work areas on site. They shall report to the Project Manager.

c) Supervisors/ Charge Hands (Ibnu Subair) shall be directly responsible for the day-to-day job at site,
for coordinating of work with skilled and unskilled labor or any other staff assigned in his area.

d) QA/QC Department will be overseeing the quality requirements and quality control measures for the
project in coordination with Project/Site Engineer(s).

e) Safety officer shall be responsible for the health & safety aspects on site as per the Main contractor
and safety Manual. Safety Inspector will be present at all times of job execution.

4.0 PROCEDURE / METHOD TO BE EMPLOYED


4.1 GENERAL
 Approved drawings and work procedures shall be obtained prior to start the activity.
 Aluminum sections shall be fabricated as per approval and shop drawing.
 Materials shall be factory powder coated and delivered to site well protected to prevent any
damage on any part or powder coating.
 All the materials delivered to the site shall be as per the approved materials.
 Any damaged sections of aluminum shall not be used and shall be removed immediately from
the site.
 Ensure floor tile and paint works are complete and prior to start of aluminum installation works.
 Check list and ITP shall be strictly followed for all activities as per approved method statement.
 All the necessary PPEs shall be provided and worn by the all the crew involved with the
activity.
 Waste management guidelines shall be adhered to in disposing off all the waste.
 Only skilled installer shall carried out the work.
 Access requirements including scaffolding shall be installed as per safety requirements and
where required as prior.
 Materials shall be shifted to storage in respective floor manually, with care to prevent damage
to assemblies and other installations.

 Glass Removal works to be performed as per approved Method Statement ATS-MMF-55130-


MS-038.

4.2 INSTALLATION
 Ensure that all opening size as per approved shop drawing.
 Setting out shall be complete as per approved shop drawing.
 Check the alignment with adjacent work before proceeding the Installation Work
 Fin Glass to be fixed with the Existing fin Glass connection from Concrete Ceiling using spider
accessories.
 Spider Accessories for the Glass Panel to be connected to the Fin Glass Using SS bolts and
Nuts.
 Chain Hoist (Certification provided) to be hanged on the steel scaffolding.
 Special additional support to be provided to the scaffolding for the Lifting purpose.
 Glass Catcher to be fixed to the Glass Panel then using the nylon belt glass catcher & Chain
Host will be connected.
 Slowly pull the chain to lift the glass to the up stair.
 Glass Panel to be fixed the spider system using SS nut bolts.
 Silicone will be applied after fixing the bolts.
 Marking & cutting the area in floor to fix the Dorma Floor Machine.
 Floor machine to be fixed with screws and cement.
 Door Patches to be fixed to Glass Panel & Glass doors.
 Connect the Glass using door patches and Floor Machines.

6.0 MANPOWER REQUIREMENT


Manpower requirements like site Engineer, Supervisor / Foreman, Technicians, and Skilled Workers
depends upon the approved construction program.

7.0 MATERIAL REQUIREMENT

 Dorma Floor Machine

8.0 HOUSEKEEPING
Housekeeping will be done on daily basis, and scrap other wastage of demolitions and others will be
collected in containers, and disposed.

9.0 CONTROL OF SAFETY & HEALTH HAZARDS



Contractor’s approved Project Health & Safety Plan & the Company’s safety guidelines shall
be strictly followed for all the activities described in this method statement.
 Material Safety Data Sheet shall be made available at site and the contents conveyed to the
working screw.
 Work shall be performed in well ventilated condition.
 PPE mentioned below shall be used
 Contractors Safety Department shall be pre informed about the schedule of the Execution and
all Safety requirements adhered to strictly
 Safety related instructions from the Company’s safety department shall be followed as and
when received
 Regular safety instructions shall be shall be given to workers in order to minimize any chances
of accident or mishap
 Regular housekeeping shall be performed to keep the area clean.
 All debris shall be removed from the site and disposed off to the designated areas.
 Aluminum waste and demolition waster shall be stored in containers and disposed
10.0 TRAINING

All operatives are adequately trained to carry out required tasks.

Toolbox talks will provide general training and awareness for each activity and also in health &
safety matters and precautions.
 If deemed necessary specific team / individuals will undergo further training and awareness
programs for this activity by the Project QA-QC Departments.
