II. MEANING
Barnabas — The term Barnabas on its own means the Son of Encouragement. The name was derived from 2 men recorded in the
Bible with the same name.
1. Barnabas, also called Joses a Levite from Cyprus who sold his personal land and brought the money to the Apostles so that the Commented [WU1]:
money would be shared among the poor. the church remained without anyone poor
2. Barnabas, Paul’s friend and companion in ministry.
a. He received Paul both among fellow believers and into ministry. He also introduced him to the fellow apostles thereby
bringing great encouragement to Paul and without him, Paul would have done all the great work he did. Ac 9:27-30

3. In Acs 1fg:3uu - 39, he insisted on asking John Mark in kheir company while Paul denied accusing him of cowardness until
hek parerd Barnabas equipped John Mark until we find he same Paul requesting imoh o bring Mark because he is so useful to
his ministry.
Therefore, our main responsibility as a church encouraging potential individuals, groups, ministries to impact and transform the world
through equipping and funding different ministries,
1. VISION1

John 4:35 states, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you,

Both Global and local Outreach will be highly mobilized and supported by BACOMI. Data gathered from the
congregation demonstrate a high level of support for BACOMI’s Global Outreach emphasis. Local outreach
and evangelism revealed the greatest opportunity available to strengthen the ministry of the church.
The stated core values for BACOMI’s Global Outreach include the following:
1. God will raise up individuals from BACOMI to send out.
2. BACOMI needs to mentor, equip and prepare those who can raise up.
3. BACOMI needs to focus its resources to be effective.
4. Our primary focus should be the unreached areas of the world:
Need for an update Global Outreach policy needed
An increase focus on local evangelism efforts important
As we study God’s word, the focus of our future outreach in mission should be the unreached and under reached
parts of our surrounding community.
1. We will primarily focus on sending out workers to the unreached and under reached communities
2. Our priority is recruiting, preparing and equipping workers to be involved in ministries that are likely lead to
making obedient disciples who are able to reproduce and to form healthy churches.
3. Our resources both human and financial need to be aligned with our sent workers.
4. Our goal is to provide support through resources and short-term terms to enable these workers to reach their
targeted people group with the gospel.
5. Our strategy making disciple is simply (disciple — discipler — coach) with the use of the G12 strategy/Model.
Our Discipleship Motto, “Win, Build and Send people in order to Win, Build and Send others”
Follow-Up All Who Receive Christ! Discipleship begins by providing Follow-Up to every new Christian within 48
hours of coming to Christ, and to all Christians who have never learned the Basics of Christian Living.

Jesus’ vision was to reach every community, every nation and every generation with the Gospel and the love of God.
Even though as the Omni-present God, He would have easily accomplished the vision in those 3 years. But for Him
to set a good beginning and example for us as humans, He approached his task through the human nature instead of
the Divine nature.
1000’s followed him, modelled to His character and manner of life, enjoyed the best through His ministry yet He
gave much concentration on the 12 in His three year ministry. Mark 4. 1000’s enjoyed all that was in Christ yet
the 12 encountered His investment of all that was in Christ. The 12 were called disciples (meaning learners or
apprentices) while they were at His feet. They were later designated apostles (meaning those sent with a message
or people commissioned with task) after being equipped. Matthew 10
In Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8, Jesus makes it clear to His 12 disciples now designated the Apostles that His
vision was to reach the whole world. His strategy was to simply recruit the 12 from the 1000’s He won in every
three year period, equip and impact the 12 to recruit each his own 12 and the cycle continues through generations.
Look at tremendous results in Figure 1:3 Jesus Christ would expect in 15 years if the commission would have been
obeyed and properly implemented.
Below is an approximate Church Growth chart if the church manages to have raise and impact only 24 men who will
commit themselves to the Growth and proceed at 20% commitment each for 6 years. In 6 years the church will
grow to 1 846 well discipled, well equipped members.
2. Personal discipleship.
We will involve every member of our church o participate in Church Growth Vision which is, “Invite 12, Win 3,
and disciple 1/year plan”.
Everyone in our church should be informed that he/she was saved to save and served to serve. We all should take
heed to the Lord’s Great Commission. We will encourage every member who joins our church to investing much of
his/her time in those he/she disciples, with the hope that they will grow until they also Win, Build and Send others!
People ready to be discipled should display three key qualities:
1. A pastor who trains 12 people as small group leaders (called cell group leaders).
Each of the 12 Cell Group Leaders will reach out to catch and disciple his own 12 thereby forming his Cell Group
within a year’s time. The number of new disciple now ready to be send by year end will be 144
2. Each of these leaders then repeats this training with 12 others
The 144 discipled will also reach out to catch and disciple his own 12 thereby forming their own Cell Groups within a
year’s time. The Cell Group Leaders will rise to do the work of Deacons where they will continue supervising each
his own 12 Cell Group Leaders and shepherding the 144 disciples with the assistance of the 12 Cell Group Leaders.
The number grows to 1728 within 2 years
a. The 1 728 discipled will also reach out to catch and disciple his own 12 thereby forming their own Cell
Groups.
b. The 144 Cell Group Leaders/Deacons will rise to do the work of a Pastor where they will continue supervising
and training each his own 12 Cell Group Leaders and shepherding the 1 728 disciples with the assistance of
the 144 Cell Group Leaders. The number grows to 1728 within 2 years
c. Now the first 12 rises to the position of an Elder as they lead each 12 Pastors, supervise 144 Cell Group
Leaders and assist the Apostle to shepherd the 1 728.
1. The G-12 model provides a way to fine-tune your cell church for growth. It requires less structure and
flows nicely from the grass roots level.
2. The G-12 model preserves the fruit of evangelism. Castellanos says, “The G-12 model is not for your
church to grow. What gives the growth is the evangelistic work. The G-12 model is God’s strategy to
conserve the fruit.”4 The key, according to César, is evangelism. Many people want to learn the G-12
model, but they’re not winning the multitude. The advice of César Castellanos is to first win the multitude
and then preserve the fruit through the G-12 model.5
3. The crowning principle of the G-12 model is that it views every member as a potential cell leader. All cell
leaders at ICM seek to transform their cell members into cell leaders. The G-12 model is essentially a
leadership multiplication strategy.
4. Fourth, the G-12 model will fine-tune and improve your pastoral care for cell leaders. For years, the cell
church primarily used the Jethro model (5x5 structure) to care for cell leadership. The G-12 model has
given the cell church a new alternative, a new way to look at cell church ministry.
5. The G-12 model holds every cell leader accountable to a higher authority while taking responsibility for
younger, emerging cell leaders. César Castellanos said, “This model totally eliminates the problem of care
because everyone is cared for by a leader of 12.”6
