Instructional Procedures

Focusing Event: Have students practice graphing skills in partners or groups.

Teaching/ Learning Procedures:

 Pass out graphing worksheet to the classroom. Explain how to complete the activity.
 Put students into pairs, preferable in pairs that are equally challenged so that one students
does not end up completing the activity alone.
 After students are finished graphing the robot, have them color the drawing to make it
their own.

Formative Check (ongoing or specific): Walk around the room when students are
working, and have students turn in their worksheet to check errors.
Reteach (alternative used as needed): If reteach is necessary on graphing work in a small group
with students who are struggling and practice graphing with them in repetition to ensure
understanding.

Closure: The students will complete 3-2-1! Activity. They will each be given a flash card, and on
it they will write 3 things they enjoyed about class. 2 things they struggled with, and 1 thing they
would like the teacher to know.
