Format of the Oct/Nov 2017 exam paper:

 The Oct/Nov 2017 exam paper consists of 3 Questions. Question 1 carries 28 marks.
Question 2 carries 42 marks. Question 3 carries 30 marks.

 Your ICT2632 exam is a written examination. You can obtain a maximum of 100 marks
and you will have two hours to complete it. The paper is in English. Your examination
mark contributes 80% towards your final mark (and your year mark 20% - see Tutorial

Preparing for the exam:

 At least one previous examination paper is available on myUnisa. We do not supply a

memorandum, but you are welcome to contact us with any problem when you try to do
the paper in preparation for the examination. All requests and queries regarding
examination , admission should be addressed to the Examination department. The contact
details are in your my Studies @ Unisa brochure.

 Work through the answers to the assignments ( 1 and 2) Please pay attention to all our
comments to assignment 1, assignment 2 .
Writing the exam:

 We suggest that you take the number of marks allocated to a question as an

indication of how much time you should spend on it.

 Please remember that it is possible to obtain some of the marks, even if your answer
is not completely correct. Each step in solving the answer carries marks.

 On the other hand, no marks will be given when you answer a question with ‘yes’ or
‘no’ without explaining your answer.

 Students are allowed to carry non programmable pocket calculator for writing the
exam.
You are very welcome to contact us if you encounter a problem during your preparation for the
examination, preferably by e-mail. Also try to solve all the problems given by the etutor during the
preparation of the exam.
