Microcore Proposal
Microcore Proposal
You will participate in the Microcore simulation, which will invite you to fulfill a role as an
intern in an imaginary company. As part of this simulation, you are tasked with conducting an
investigation and finding a solution to a specific problem at the company. After conducting the
exercises contained within the simulation, you will write a formal proposal recommending a
solution.
This proposal will have the format of long memo, which we will discuss further in class—2-3
pages, single spaced, purpose statement, etc.
Your proposal memo will be divided into 6 categories, which will be discussed at length in class:
1. Introduction
2. Problem Description
3. Objectives
4. Plan of Action/Proposed Solution
5. Management Plan/Budget/Qualifications
a. with a table or other visual to illustrate this plan
6. Conclusion
Make sure to use functional headings and subheadings for and within these sections.
You can access the simulation here: microcore.byu.edu. First, you must register with an access
code, which can be found on Learning Suite, under Content Proposal. The class name
is________ and the class key is _______.
This simulation gives you a number of tasks to complete, but I will only be grading the proposal
because it acts as the culmination of all your work. Basically, you do not need to submit any
assignments through the Microcore website. Submit your long memo proposal through Learning
Suite only.
