    This document provides installation instructions for a master solenoid kit for certain Mitsubishi and Chrysler transmissions: 1. Remove the negative battery cable, drain the automatic transmission fluid, and remove the transmission pan. 2. Remove the transmission filter and valve body bolts, noting length differences. 3. Remove the solenoid wiring harness case plug from the case. 4. Install the new solenoids on the valve body and reassemble the transmission.

    42930 Shift

    1. To Remove: Disconnectthe negativebatterycable,draintheATF


    out of unit,and removethe pan.
    2. Removethe transmission
    filter. Notelengthofbolts.
    3. Removesolenoidwiringharnesscase plugfromcase. Removeten
    (10)valvebodybolts,notingthe differentlengthbolts: 20mm,28mm
    and 45mm.

    9. Makesure theo-ring is still on the uppersurfaceofthe valve


    body,at the placeshownin Figure1.
    10. Reinstallthe valvebodyinto the transaxle,then insertthe
    solenoidwiring harnesscaseplug intothecase. Be surethe
    notchedpart ofthe connectoris in the properplace.Also,check
    thatthe leadwire isn't caughtbetweencaseand valvebody.
    11. Tightenthe ten (10)valvebodyboltsto 10 to 11.5Nm
    (7.5t08.5ft.lbs.).
    12. Installnewfilter,tightenfour boltsto 6 to 6.5 Nm (4 to 5 ft.
