Rubric Speech Project
We are nearing the end of this unit! Using the speeches written in class (based on the graphic organizer), students will
be delivering their speeches by creating online presentations in which they use images, videos, or other media to
supplement the presentation and make it creative, innovative, and captivating. Should you wish to create a traditional
video, you must use props (printed images, physical objects, etc.). Be sure to follow all five steps of Monroe’s Motivated
Sequence. Also, make sure that you choose a topic that is important to you and relevant either locally, nationally, or
globally. You should integrate two rhetorical appeals and two literary devices into your speech. Review the rubric below
to create an excellent speech!
