Key Achievement: Piloting Behavior Disorder School/Program under the direction

Special Education teacher to children with Autism during the years 2009-current,
working with Dr. Timothy Vollmer, Ph D BCBA-D from the University of Florida. Dr.
Vollmer specifically requested this program to be created, and is one of the most highly
regarded and leading behavior experts in the nation. Pilot an autism program for highly
severe and aggressive children (ages 16 to 21) to increase independent living skills,
educational needs, and behavior management. Teach ABVA programs, Murdoch
curriculum, and carry out behavior intervention plans for students. Track behaviors via
Instant Data Analyzer Program on individual Netpads for students to record exact data,
monitor progress, and make program modifications and changes. During the school year
of 2007-2008, I taught a self-contained middle school classroom of low-functioning
behavior disorder students. During the school year of 2008-2009, I taught half of the year
to self-contained behavior disorder middle school students, and the other half of the year
in the high school rotation with behavior disorder students.
Key Achievement: Piloting Autism Program with the guidance of Dr. Timothy
Vollmer, Ph D BCBA-D. I currently teach communication, academic, behavior, and
daily living skills to some of the most violent and low functioning young men that
were considered too behavioral to exist in any other special needs classroom.

Design, tailor, and implement treatment programs in accordance with Dr. Vincent
Carbone’s Applied Behavioral Verbal Analysis (ABVA) treatment program and current
Discrete Trial Format (DTF) program. Apply and design behavioral management
techniques and programs for children with extreme aggressive behaviors. Maintain
regular data, charts, documentation of progress for each client. Create materials,
documents, and schedules to meet program needs. Provide direct care with each
consumer on a regular schedule and on demand basis. Available 24 hours a day for oncall
services and counseling. Attend IEP meetings, present materials and techniques to
team members. Attend all recent/regular trainings associated with Autism, customer
service, and management. Act as a Behavior Consultant for families and staff. Visit and
consult with elementary and middle school classes of consumers. Create and design
treatment programs and goals for mentally retarded adults and children. Perform ABBLS
assessments for newly referred Autistic children.
