    TRANSLITERATION AND TRANSLATION

    AL-SALAT AL-TĀZIYYAH

    ALLĀHUMMA SALLI SALĀTAN KĀMILATAN,


    WA SALLIM SALĀMAN TAAM-MAN,
    `ALĀ SAYYIDINĀ MUHAMMADIN,
    ALLA-DHĪ TAN-HALLU BIHIL `UQADU,
    WA TAN-FARIJU BIHIL KURABU,
    WA TUQ-DĀ BIHIL HAWĀ-IJU,
    WA TUNĀLU BIHIR- RA-GHĀ-IBU, WA HUSNUL KHAWĀTĪM,
    WA YUS-TAS-QAL- GHAMĀMU BI WAJ-HI-HIL KARĪM,
    WA `ALĀ ĀLIHI WA SAHBIHI,
    FĪ KULLI LAMHATIN WA NAFASIN,
    BI `ADADI KULLI MA`LŪMIN LAK.

    TRANSLATION

    "O Allah, send perfect blessings and complete peace upon our master
    Muhammad,
    By virtue of whom all obstacles are removed,
    Distress is relieved,
    Needs are met,
    Desires are fulfilled and a good end may be achieved,
    And by virtue of whose noble face clouds may be sent,
    And [send blessings and peace] upon his family and companions,
    With every movement of the eyes, and every breath,
    By the number of all things known to You."

    ** Make Du`ā’ for yourself, your parents, your Sheikh, your fellow Brethren on
    this Path, and all Muslims.
