Topic Note: Find the matching figure


Continuing with our visual questions for Sr KG and Grade 1 learners, here we present the last of our
topic notes. Find the Matching figure. In these type of questions, the user is provided three figures
out of which the two on the left side are related and from the options, the student needs to find the
option which will form a pair (or have same relationship) with the third figure.

The key to solving such problems is to understand the relationship between the two leftmost figures.
For example:

Sample Question 1:

In this question the left hand side two figures are related by the following rule “The second figure
represents the inner core of the first figure”. Applying the same rule to the third figure, we get the
answer as Option A.

Sample Question 2:

In this question the left hand side two figures are related by the following rule “The second image
depicts the surface /object on which the first figure runs. So applying the same rule to the third figure,
we get the answer as Option B.
