Script

Narrator 1:
One day (Name____) felt very sleepy.
The basketball practice after class had tired him out.
Upon reaching his room in the dormitory,
he plopped down on a chair, pulled out his cellphone,
and logged on to Facebook.
Before long, however, he got sleepy. Soon he was off to dreamland.
In his dream he saw God giving him a key to a door but told him not get inside.
“This is to test your patience, your faith, and your obedience,” God told him.
But_____ was curious to know what was inside the room.
Without thinking, he boldly unlocked the door and swung it open.

Narrator 2
Behind the door, _____ saw people having a wild party.
They were dancing, laughing, eating.
______ was standing on one corner until one girl approached him
And asked him if he was okay and if he wants to join them.
_______ agreed to join them. They were having a good time, having fun,
partying all night, eating unhealthy foods.
Then _______ feels like his body will give up due to exhaustion, so he decided to
leave the room. He wandered and wandered.

Narrator 3
Ahead of him was another door.
He leisurely walked toward it and slowly opened it.
Inside, he saw high achievers studying hard and comparing notes.
The students looked up, saw him, and asked why he wasn't studying.
So _____ joined in and tried to study as much as them.
But he was not happy because he was not used to studying.
They spent most of their time study instead of playing.
______ knew he wouldn’t enjoy staying in a place like this.
Knowledge alone could not satisfy him.
So left the room and started searching for more doors.
Narrator 4:
To his left was another door.
Upon stepping inside, he noticed how noisy the room was.
He saw students sitting and playing Bingo
He watched the scene for a while.
He saw students winning…and losing.
Curious, he asked if he could join in.
He sat down with them, using his allowance.
Before long, _____ too was winning money.
He was very happy.
But, his winning streak soon came to an end.
Game after game, ____ lost.
Too late did he realize that all his money was gone.
He left the place with an empty pocket.
Slowly he wandered around the place looking for a way out.
After some searching, he was able to find his way out of the room.
Another door, however, is seen just nearby.

Narrator 5
As he opened the door, it showcased athletes preparing for the Olympics!
A gymnastics coach came up to him and saw that he was strong and fit.
He invited ______ join his team.
At first, ______ failed miserably.
He fell down the treadmill.
He couldn’t lift weights, couldn’t do 10 counts of pushups.
But the coach gave him drugs.
So _____ tried again.
This time, he was successful and won gold medals.
He had found fame and glory at last.
But people soon forgot about him and suddenly he was alone again.
Dejected, he left the place and began searching once more.

Narrator 6:
He found a cute door. Cautiously, he peeped in.
He saw a beautiful lady and fell head over heels in love with her.
He promised to give her everything—flowers and chocolates,
a mansion and a lambourghini, and a wedding ring.
He declared his undying love for this lovely lady.
She, however, saw a more handsome guy and left ____ for the new guy.
____ was devastated and ended up with a broken heart!
He left the unhappy place in search for that illusive door to happiness.

Narrator 7:
This time the door led him to a worship hall.
He looked around and saw people doing rituals.
He wondered what they were doing—praying, singing, preaching.
After watching for a while, he decided to join them.
He worshipped, and worshipped, and worshipped.
He even went with them for medical and dental missions,
evangelistic meetings, Bible study.
But then, he found no meaning to it all.
So he decided to call out to the gods or idols they were worshipping.
But he received no answer.
He decided this place was not for him.

Narrator 8:
____ got tired from the all the walks and the talks and the experiences.
He started thinking about the doors that he had tried.
He thought of smoking, but ended up choking.
He thought of drinking, but ended up vomiting.
He remembered studying all day, but shuddered at the thought.
He remembered gambling but lost all his money.
He recalled fame and glory, but that was short lived and empty.
He thought of the blooming relationship but got brokenhearted.
Religion? He tried calling to the gods but received no answer
So ____ dropped to his knees, full of despair and hopelessness.

Narrator 9:
Then ____ a nail-scarred hand reached out to him.
But because he was blinded by his burdens, hurts, and sins,
he mocked and laughed at God.
But God never stopped reaching out to him.
Even when _____ snobbed Him, rejected Him.
Even when _____ turned his back on Him.
Again and again God reached out in love to ______.
Soon ____ realized that God is a God of love and mercy.
A God who never gets tired of calling His children home.
So ____ reached out his hand and took hold of God’s hand.
God gave him a big hug. _____ repented and returned to God, his Creator.

Narrator 10:
_____ saw himself and God walking together through another door.
God handed him a key then ushered him out of the door.
_____ turned around, locked the door, gave the key to God, and never turned back.
Suddenly he heard a ring tone. His ring tone. End of his dream.
He shook himself, fumbled for his phone, and answered it.
It was his mom asking if he was going home for the weekend.
