Close customer relations
Aker Yards took customers’ needs and desires for the future as a starting point when the company, during three
months of intensive efforts, created the Group’s new design work strategy for 2007. The goal of the design
strategy is to strengthen Aker Yards’ capacity for continuous renewal, so that we can realize our goal of being

work. Key elements in these efforts were the sharing of technical know-how, an analytical approach to
customers’ needs, and strong customer relations. By realizing in-house synergies, additional goal-oriented
design and innovation efforts will be achieved.
