Recall a time when you gave a speech in front of a group. How did you feel?

What was your

experience? What did you learn from your experience?

Solution

It was an Annual Budget Presentation of my company called YLG

A short brief about YLG- YLG stands for you look great, it is a salon and they serve only women …

When I gave a speech in front of a group

It was last year when I prepared for the first time to give speech in front of more than 100 people and
I was so nervous, how to start in front of them and to share my thought …It was regarding my annual
budget for store and i was so panicked that all people are presenting well and they were up to the
point so i was bit confused that my preparation are not up to the mark and i was very much upset . I
was literally feeling to quit . Nervousness was in its peak when my turn was near and when I got to
know that my turn is next I was like “god save me from this situation” and after few minutes they
announced my name I was like “no”, then I went in front of my team to present my budget ,I started
my presentation , I had my presentation ready but it was tough to recognise from where to start and
how to conclude anyhow I started my budget presentation and when I was about to gain my
momentum I was cross-questioned by my CEO and the owner of that organization –“how did you
taken this much budget as your last year was not great in terms of annual budget? ” this was as same
as the bombarding in Hiroshima and I was stuck for few seconds and was completely clueless as what
should I answer?

After some time I gained some confidence and took few more seconds to prepare for the answer and
here I was - “ I prepared my budget in terms with data being provided and I prepared accordingly
where to focus and what all planning need to do in advance to achieve the same . So that it will help
my organization to achieve their goal”

I concluded...

EXPERIENCE

Facing problems and obstacles always outlast with some knowledge and experience and I too gained
something that day.

• How to overcome challenges and to present ourselves in front of people

• Its always good to think and answer rather than answering rapidly as question
asked (taking some time help us to prepare some point) .
• It’s always being good to prepare apart from the context (or the topic which could
be questionable)
• No matter what but as an employee you should be always be confident and fair
enough to present yourself and your company.
