    Experiment A2: Efflux Time for a Tank with Different Exit Pipes

    Using the spaces provided, answer the following questions:

    1. In a tank-pipe connection or pipe-pipe connection, what is meant by entry length or entrance length? How
    does it affect the flow pattern in the flow system? If at all, how does its value affected by the type of flow?

    2. What is meant by efflux time? What factors affect its value, and in what ways does each factor affect its
    value?

    3. What is meant by vorticity? How does it occur in the flow system? How does its dimensions affect the flow
    behavior of the system?

    4. In fluid flow, what is boundary layer? How does it behave with the type of flow and how is it affected by the
    presence of flow obstructions?
