PRE-ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES
3. Demonstration
3.1. Prepare the Candidates
a. Assessor self-introduction
(“Good morning everyone, my name is NEIL MARC R. BIRON and I am your competency
Assessor for Visual Graphic Design NC III”)
b. Acknowledge the present of the Processing Officer, AC Manager and TESDA
Representative
(“I would like to acknowledge the presence of Mr. Leonilio Ching our processing
officer, Mr. Rowel Castillo our Assessment Center Manager and Mr. Ronald Casuela a
representative from TESDA provincial office, Good morning sir.”

of assessment and to check if the conduct is in accordance with the prescribed

Just bring with you your Competency Assessment Result Summary (CARS) issued by the
Assessment Center Manager.”)
In case the reassessment is full qualification you have to undergo the whole
assessment process. If you are found to be competent in some unit of competencies,
the reassessment shall focus in the unit of competency where you are found to be not
yet competent.
Take now that if you failed two consecutive assessments you will be advised or
undergo a refresher course before applying for reassessment.”)

4. Initiate Assessment by guiding the candidates to the assessment area. Explain the specific task
and ask them if they have any question about the instructions given.
5. Observe and take notes on the demonstration of the candidate. Implement the evidence
gathering process and ensure its validity, reliability, fairness and flexibility.
6. Take notes about the performance of the candidate. Collect appropriate information and match
it elements, performance criteria, range of variables and evidence guide.
7. Judge the evidence from the 4 dimension of competency, task skill, task management skill,
contingency management skills and job/role environment skills.
8. Judge the evidence in terms of validity, consistency, currency, recency, authenticity and
suffiency.
9. After the demonstration perform oral questioning.
