Stable Bleaching Powder

Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP) is manufactured by chlorinating hydrated lime with liquid chlorine. It decomposes in water to release chlorine, making it a strong oxidizing, bleaching, and disinfecting agent. SBP has a minimum 34% available chlorine and is fairly stable in alkaline medium at room temperature.
