For general information about the ABS Basic System and functional description of the features please see the belonging system related product specification. For a short survey about the features of this ECU please see the front page of this specification ‘Specification of Installation The specifications of installation for the ABS-components (pole wheel, sensors, modulators,...) are to observe. Sensors must be connected to the provided pins. Cable design and installation has to be carried out that no electromagnetic interference occurs. The connecting sensor cable must have twisted individual wires with = 20 twists per meter. If the wires have no common sheathing (cover) the number of twists per meter must be increased to = 30. All ground connections of the ECU and the modulators must have one central grounding. It is recommended to connect no further loads to this grounding. The power supply lines have to be fused in accordance with regulation ISO/DIS 8820 (blade type electric fuse-link). Other fuse types need confirmation of WABCO. For fuse link values see chapter 2.2. During installation attention must also be paid to the proximity of heating devices so hot air is diverted away from the ECU. Technical Data Mechanical Specifications Housing The ECU housing consists of steel. The printed circuit board is fastened on the bottom plate by screws and is protected by a cover, which closes the housing like a shell. The cover is fastened by screws Dimensions and mounting The dimensions of the ECU housing as well as the recommended position of installation can be found on the outline drawing (code 605). Weight of the ECU max. 500 g Marking The ECU is marked in accordance with JED341 WABCO 142 | 07.06.00) 4460043200 | 435 | 3/15
