Operating instructions FMZ 5000 mod S


These brief instructions are only intended for trained experts, and represent short overview.
The information in the operating instructions (FHB 20.9) must be observed! Only the operating instructions are legally binding!

Operating Panel
Permissions:
The control tasks of the panel are divi-
ded into 4 access levels (AL). A service
code must be entered to enter the
respective AL. Key switch (S22) opens
the second AL directly.

Entering a service code:


Menu system is activated
Request to enter the service code
for the desired access level

Group on / off:
Menu system is activated,
Enter service code for AL 2
Select group in the display

Acknowledge
or:
Activate key switch (S22), then

Select group button (S13-S21)

Fire: When LED „Fire“ flashes quickly and the buzzer sounds, see additional information on the display. Observe
further lamps. When the lamp labelled „RTU-fire activated“ is not lit, then immediately phone the fire brigade on
the emergency number.
Triggering the extinguishing system: Is indicated by LEDs and the display. A reset-lockout can be active.
Reset is not possible during this time! All detectors must be clear before resetting.
Faults: When LED „Fault“ flashes quickly and the buzzer sounds, see additional information on the display. Ob-
serve further lamps. Depending on the situation further lamps may be lit..
Isolations: LED „Shutoff“ is lit and the buzzer sounds. Switched-off parts of the fire detection and extinguishing
control panel have no function. Switch off as short as possible.
Operation: Green lamp H23 is lit.

S3: Reset S9-S12: Navigation/Selection

S4: Fire event control off S13-S21: Group switching

Operations after a fire message


Within the first 30s (explore time 1) you have the option of starting explore time 2 (max. 10 min) when a fire alarm mes-
sage has been received. Then is automatically called the fire brigade. The function is only available if day mode is
switched on for the fire alarm panel, either by the system clock or manually. All described operations are feasible in
every access level.
