The candidate has copied rather than paraphrased the question


rubric, making the introductory paragraph ineligible for assessment.
Although some minor comparison has been made between data for 4
TASK ACHIEVEMENT boys and girls, no attempt has been made to compare and contrast
the data relating to adults/men/women. The description contains
insufficient detail and is under-length by more than 30 words
resulting in a deduction of 1 band
The data is described in a ordered and logical way, however the
candidate has not used any cohesive or linking phrases in the
description. 5
COHERENCE & COHESION

Lexical range is very limited with repetitive use of certain verbs and
frequent errors in word choice. Little attempt has been made to use
comparative/contrastive expressions 4
LEXICAL RESOURCE

The candidate has used an incorrect verb tense throughout the


description. There is almost no control over accuracy and systematic
errors including verb agreement, confusion between singular/plural 4
GRAMMATICAL RANGE & forms, and confusion with verb use predominate throughout. Overall
ACCURACY grammatical range is very limited and phrasing is repetitive.
